At the Harold Alfond Center in the heart of our campus, take advantage of the gymnasium, six-lane swimming pool, running track, fitness center, aerobics and dance room, climbing wall, and saunas in order to get fit, stay active, and meet your goals. 

Fitness Classes

A full body HIIT class that uses different fitness equipment to make each workout unique.

Core & Restore
Strengthen your core using bender balls, gliding disks and your own body weight and then restore your body with a gentle Yoga flow.  This class will increase core strength and flexibility while decreasing stress.

A total body strengthening and flexibility class with a focus on core conditioning.

This powerful, heart-pumping, high energy class is an interval fusion of pilates, boxing and dance.

SilverSneakers Classic
This class is perfect for the individual brand new to exercise but it also very appropriate for anyone wanting to improve their muscular endurance and flexibility.

SilverSneakers Muscle
This class incorporates athletic exercises that boost overall fitness.  Move through muscle conditioning blocks and activity-specific drills to improve strength and functional skill.

SilverSneakers Stability
Get stronger and improve your balance through exercises that strengthen the ankle, knee and hip joints all in a fun and social setting.  This class is designed specifically for fall prevention.

Learn the basics of spin while building your endurance, strengthening your core and toning your muscles.  With upbeat music you will climb over hills, spin on flats and try a few sprints.

Spin + More
A class that will rotate each week between Spin + Core and Spin + Stretch.  Individuals will be on the bike for roughly 35 minutes and end the class with a deep stretch or core work on the floor.

Step Back to Fonda
Flashback to the 80s with this aerobic class that will include the step boxes and an ab routine at the end.

A music led HIIT workout that combines high intensity interval training with the science of synced music motivation.

You’ll use your body weight, gravity and TRX Training equipment to push, pull, lunge, squat, hinge and plank.  This full body workout will leave you sweating and feeling successful. All fitness levels will succeed in this class!

A dance party that combines all elements of fitness—cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility.


Our six-lane swimming pool provides recreational swim opportunities for our students, campus community, and residents in and around the Standish area. Please visit our aquatics page for general information about the pool, swim classes, or renting the space for private events. Anyone using the pool must first check in at the front desk, and pool rules are posted in the locker rooms and in the pool area.

Climbing Wall

Scale to new heights and put both your mental and physical strength to the test by taking a turn on the rock wall.
